We are looking for a proactive and results-driven individual to join our real estate company in the Finance Manager role. This key position is responsible for overseeing and optimising the financial operations of the business, ensuring robust financial controls, strategic planning, and compliance within the real estate sector. The Finance Manager will play a crucial part in safeguarding the financial health of the organisation and supporting its continued growth.
Key Responsibilities for Finance Manager in Real Estate
- Manage the day-to-day financial and accounting operations within the company.
- Complete financial reports, lead the month-end closing process and conduct monthly financial forecasts.
- Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly management reporting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collect, interpret, and review financial information.
- Review, monitor, and manage budgets and forecasts.
- Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
- Manage operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
- Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, revenue results, and the company’s actual performance compared to business plans.
- Maintain the financial health of the organization.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests.
- Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained and internal and external audits are completed timely.
- Correspond with other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
- Make estimates of funds required for short- and long-term financial objectives of the organization.
- Achieve a proper mix of equity and debt to minimize cost and maximize operational profit.
- Manage and file Zakat and tax returns accurately and timely.
- Provide financial insight and analysis to drive the business performance of the organization.
- Evaluate the financial performance of the organization and measure returns on investments.
- Understand and calculate the risks involved in the financial activities of the organization.
- Manage company-wide cash flow, including forecasting, monitoring, and optimization across development cycles.
- Conduct real estate investment analysis including cap rate, IRR, and NPV evaluations for property acquisitions and disposals.
- Perform financial due diligence and valuations for property acquisitions and development projects.
- Design optimal capital structures for development projects, balancing equity and debt in alignment with company strategy.
- Prepare investor-ready financial presentations and reports in alignment with IPO and funding goals.
Essential Qualifications and Experience for Finance Manager Roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a numerate discipline; a professional accounting qualification MBA (preferred)
CFA or CMA (Plus) is highly desirable. - At least 5 years of relevant finance experience, ideally within real estate, property, or a related sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial management, planning, and reporting.
- Proficient in the use of financial management and accounting software, as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical abilities with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights.
- Strong understanding of current UK accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance standards.
- Experience supporting and training junior colleagues is an advantage.
- Language:
English and Arabic: Advanced
